Cristine Reyes – Queen of Controversies

Cristine ReyesAra Cristine Pascual Reyes, more popularly known as Cristine Reyes, was born on February 5, 1989 in Marikina City, Metro Manila. She is a younger sister to sexy star Ara Mina and entered show business via the reality TV show Starstruck on GMA. She later became a talent of the Kapuso network, starring in bit roles in the station’s ho-hum productions.

In 2008, Cristine Reyes transferred to ABS-CBN where she was given huge opportunities to shine. Her performance on Kapamilya network’s television shows such as Kahit Isang Saglit (which starred Jericho Rosales and Carmen Soo) and Banana Split (where she showed her comedic talents together with Pokwang, Angelica Panganiban, Zanjo Marudo, etc.) turned her into a household name. She was then given the opportunity to star in her very own teleserye, the hit Eva Fonda. In 2009, she starred in Precious Hearts Romances Presents series: My Cheating Heart opposite Jake Cuenca.

Cristine has definitely moved on from being just Ara Mina’s younger sister and has made a name for herself. In fact, she has become more popular and famous than her older sister. Cristine is presently managed by Viva Artists Agency and starred in Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Cristine. She then starred in Reputasyon, a top rating afternoon teleserye on Kapamilya Gold. In 2012, Cristine starred in Dahil Sa Pag-Ibig, alongside Piolo Pascual, Maricar Reyes and Jericho Rosales.

In 2013, she starred in the Kapamilya drama series, Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin, alongside Gerald Anderson, Dawn Zulueta, Tonton Gutierrez, Dina Bonnevie, and Diana Zubiri. It was followed by Honesto with Paulo Avelino and Raikko Mateo.

Cristine also starred in several films including Ang Darling Kong Aswang, Tumbok, The Reunion, El Presidente, Bromance: My Brother’s Romance and When the Love is Gone. In 2011, she starred in No Other Woman, with Derek Ramsay and Anne Curtis, which is among the highest grossing Filipino films of all time. She is set to star in two upcoming films, The Gifted and My Trophy Wife.
