The enduring love team of Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta will finally stage a comeback next year via a movie and television series. The on-screen couple is set to star with Bea Alonzo in the upcoming Star Cinema film, Crossroads, as well as work together in the teleserye, A Family Story. Both projects are slated to be launched in 2015.
The CharDawn tandem, one of the 90's most famous love teams, regained popularity after working together in the highly successful teleserye Walang Hanggan in 2012. When the show ended, another series was planned for Richard and Dawn. Unfortunately, the series entitled You’re My Home, was shelved.
The two were also supposed to work together in the Chito Roño film, The Trial, but Dawn backed out. In an interview, the beautiful actress said that it is a "very nice project" but would rather wait for a different material if it would be for her and Richard's highly-anticipated movie comeback. Gretchen Barretto was tapped to take her role.
This year, CharDawn delighted fans when the former couple appeared as the present-day versions of lead stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla in the hit movie, She's Dating the Gangster.
A family drama series, the cast of A Family Story includes JC De Vera, Jessy Mendiola, Assunta De Rossi, Tonton Gutierrez, Bryan Santos and Sam Concepcion with Jerry Sineneng as director. The film Crossroads, on the other hand, will be directed by Nuel Naval.
