Paolo Avelino – Breakthrough Actor

Paolo AvelinoPaolo Avelino, Michael Paulo Lingbanan Avelino in real life, was born on May 13, 1988 in Baguio City. He started his showbiz career when he joined the reality talent show StarStruck on GMA Network in 2006. After StarStruck, he signed an exclusive contract with GMA where he played various supporting roles for the network.

In 2011, he transferred to ABS-CBN where he gained his current popularity. He got noticed for his role as Nathan Montenegro in the 2012 drama series Walang Hanggan.

He then starred in the afternoon soap Kahit Konting Pagtingin with Angeline Quinto and Sam Milby. He is currently seen in Honesto.

In 2012, he won the Gawad Urian Award for Best Actor for the film Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa. He also won the Outstanding Supporting Actor Award in the 10th Golden Screen TV Awards for his performance in Walang Hanggan.
