Luis Manzano, born Luis Philippe Santos Manzano on April 21, 1981 and also known by the nickname Lucky, is a Filipino actor, TV host, VJ and model. He is the son of award-winning actors, Edu Manzano and Vilma Santos.
He studied at De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde in Malate, Manila, with a major in Hotel and Restaurant Institution Management. He started his career as a commercial model for a clothing brand and tried his luck in showbusiness after graduating.
Luis first appeared as a VJ on the music channel Myx in 2003 where he honed his hosting skills. He eventually became a Kapamilya talent appearing in such shows as Star Circle Quest, ASAP, Bora, Kampanerang Kuba, Crazy for You, Rounin, Entertainment Live, Dyosa, Pilipinas Got Talent, Panahon Ko 'To!: Ang Game Show ng Buhay Ko, and Laugh Out Loud.
In 2012, he was tapped to host Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal. His most recent TV project was the game show, Minute to Win It, which ended in February 2014. Luis is slated to co-host the upcoming reality singing competition, The Voice Kids, with Alex Gonzaga which will premier in April.
Luis also starred in numerous films including All About Love, Ang Cute ng Ina Mo, Hating Kapatid, Petrang Kabayo, Who's That Girl, Moron 5 and the Crying Lady, and This Guy's In Love with U Mare!
His performance as a gay man in the film, In My Life, alongside his mother Vilma Santos and John Lloyd Cruz, earned him several Best Supporting Actor Awards.
In February 2014, Luis officially confirmed in an interview that he and former flame, Angel Locsin, are back together again. He also clarified that Locsin has nothing to do with his breakup with former girlfriend actress Jennylyn Mercado, and neither was he a third party to Angel’s breakup with footballer Phil Younghusband.
