Born Hope Elizabeth Soberano, on January 4, 1998 in California, Liza Soberano is one of the fast-rising young stars of ABS-CBN. After coming home to the Philippines to live with her dad, she was spotted by a talent scout and started to get modeling jobs.
She just signed a contract with GMA network's Artist Center when she received an offer she can't refuse from ABS-CBN's talent management arm, Star Magic, and immediately grabbed the once in a lifetime opportunity. That proved to be one of the best decisions she has ever made as she was eventually launched as one of the members of Star Magic Batch 2013, alongside other teen talents Julia Barretto, Janella Salvador, Jerome Ponce and Jane Oineza.
Liza then appeared in various Kapamilya TV shows including Maalala Mo Kaya, Wansapanataym, Luv U and ASAP. She started to get noticed when she was tapped to play the third wheel in Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo's launching movie, Must Be... Love in 2013, which was also her first ever movie appearance. In 2014, she once again became a side of the KatNiel love triangle when she joined the cast of the hit series Got To Believe as Daniel's other love interest.
In 2013, Liza was cast as Enrique Gil's best friend Gillian in the romantic comedy film, She's The One, which also starred Bea Alonzo and Dingdong Dantes. Her palpable onscreen chemistry with Enrique spawned the currently airing hit teleserye, Forevermore, where their tandem is tagged as the Breakthrough Love Team on Primetime. Liza and Enrique are set to star in The Bet, an upcoming movie from Star Cinema based on the best-selling Wattpad novel of the same title.
With her stunning beauty and impressive acting prowess, Liza Soberano is dubbed as the next big star, truly a leading lady to watch out for.
