Queen of All Media Kris Aquino will not be working with Kapatid actor Derek Ramsay any time soon. The controversial actress-host said on Monday’s episode of her daily talk show KrisTV that she was not allowed by her superiors to star in a film with Ramsay under Regal Films.
“Speaking of Erik Matti, nakausap ko si Tita Cory Vidanes and I was told, ‘you tell Regal hindi pwede.’ So yun na. So, I apologize, Derek Ramsay. I’m sorry, I’m obeying my boss,” Aquino said on KrisTV when Matti’s name was brought up during a conversation with guest Sunshine Cruz.
On May 2, Aquino posted on her official Instagram account a photo of her with Ramsay, film producer Lily Monterverde, Erik Matti and several others, announcing an upcoming project under Regal Films. The controversial actress said in the caption that she was hoping that the project pushes through despite her busy schedule and that she gets the approval of her boss, ABS-CBN Channel Head Cory Vidanes.
Aquino described the botched movie teamup with Ramsay as “an adult relationship drama about going with the flow of love after mutual failed relationships.” Matti was supposed to direct the film.
“Boy & I were rushing to A&A Wednesday night, we taped & I forgot to upload. Here’s hoping the movie project (an adult relationship drama about going with the flow of love after mutual failed relationships) w/ @ramsayderek11 to be directed by Erik Matti pushes through. Roadblocks? Tight shooting schedule, readiness of the script & most importantly approval from my boss @cvvidanes, right @montie08?” Kris said on a previous Instagram post.
Ramsay was one of the several men romantically linked to Aquino in the past weeks but he has categorically denied in an interview that there is something going on between them other than friendship.
