Born Jodi Chrissie Garcia Santamaria on June 16, 1982, Jodi Sta. Maria is one of the Philippine’s most talented actresses of her generation. She started her showbiz career as a member of the Star Magic Batch and 7 was part of several Kapamilya shows including Gimik, Tabing Ilog, Pangako Sa ‘Yo, Kampanerang Kuba, Noah and 100 Days To Heaven.
Jodi was also part of the cast of such movies as Gimik The Reunion, Bagong Buwan, You Are The One, Cinco and My Amnesia Girl. Her most recent movie projects were the indie films Migrante and Aparisyon, both released in 2012.
She currently stars as Maya Dela Rosa in the top rating daytime television drama Be Careful With My Heart on ABS-CBN opposite Richard Yap. Ratings proved that it is the #1 daytime show on Philippine TV prompting viewers to call Jodi the “Queen of Primetanghali.”
Be Careful With My Heart holds the distinction of being the first television drama in the Philippines made by ABS-CBN to be filmed and broadcasted in high definition. It was one of the official entries to the Metro manila Film Festival in 2013 but was pulled out due to schedule conflicts.
Jodi met businessman and senatorial son, Pampilo Lacson Jr., on the set of Tabing Ilog and eventually married him.
Unfortunately, Pampi and Jodi’s marriage didn’t work out and they are currently in the process of annulling their union after five years of being together. They have a 6-year-old son nicknamed Thirdy.
Jodi is now being romantically linked to another senator’s son and Cavite Vice Governor, Jolo Revilla.
