Born Jessica Mendiola Tawile on December 3, 1992 in the United Arab Emirates, Jessy Mendiola is a fast rising Filipina actress. She is the middle child of of her Filipina mom and British-Lebanese dad.
When Jessy was only three years old, her mother left her father and decided to take her and her older sister to the Phlippines. Her parents reconciled and Jessy's younger sister was born in the Philippines. However, her parents' relationship didn't work out and decided to separate for good. Jessy remains in contact with her father, who works abroad.
Jessy started modeling at a young age and later on became of of the new talents of Star Magic Batch 15, ABS-CBN's talent management arm. She started appearing in Kapamilya shows Star Magic Presents: Abt Ur Luv Ur Lyf 2, Sineserye Presents: Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos?, Volta, George and Cecil, Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo instead, Your Song Presents: Gimik 2010, and several epidoeds of Maalaala Mo Kaya.
Her biggest break came when she was offered the title role of the Kapamilya afternoon TV soap Sabel. She then became a regular of ASAP Rocks and starred in Agimat: Ang Mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla Presents: Bianong Bulag.
In 2011, Jessy played the role of Jackie Marasigan in the ABS-CBN teleserye, Budoy, opposite Gerald Anderson. She was also cast in the Star Cinema film The Reunion with Enrique Gil, Xian Lim and other Star Magic talents. She then topbilled Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Paraiso together with Matteo Guidicelli, Jewel Mische and Matt Evans.
She was last seen in Maria Mercedes, a remake of the 1995 Mexican telenovela Maria Mercedes starring Thalia.
