After the phenomenal success of their recently concluded teleserye, The Legal Wife, Maja Salvador and Jericho Rosales are set to reunite in another drama series tentatively titled Bridges. Joining them is multi-awarded actor John Lloyd Cruz.
Salvador played Rosale’s other woman in The Legal Wife which also starred Angel Locsin and JC de Vera. The show was a smash hit, consistently ranking high in the ratings chart and beating rival programs. It’s finale episode, aired on June 13, hit its all-time national TV rating of 36.2%, which was a record-breaking achievement for a show aired on the 9:15PM time slot.
The new series will mark John Lloyd Cruz’ return to drama after the short-lived 2013 soap opera, A Beautiful Affair, with Bea Alonzo. He has previously worked with Maja in the film One More Chance in 2007 but it will be his first time to work with Rosales. He is currently seen in the sitcom, Home Sweetie Home, with Toni Gonzaga.
Bridges will be under Star Creatives, the television unit of Star Cinema and the same production behind The Legal Wife. Details about the upcoming series’ plot, other cast members, director and premier date have yet to be released.
