MMFF 2015 Official EntriesCome Christmas Day, Filipino films will once again take over local cinemas for the annual Metro Manila Film Festival. Pinoy film fanatics will have a field day as only locally-produced films, specifically the 8 official entries to the festival, will be screened in all cinemas all over the country for two weeks starting December 25th.

Last June 20, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), organizer of the Metro Manila Film Festival, announced the eight films that made it as official entries to the film fest. Over the months, one of the entries, Hermano Pule staring Aljur Abrenica, was pulled out due to funding issues and was replaced by the John Lloyd Cruz starrer, Honor Thy Father.  Other entries also made some changes in casting and titles. Lloydie and Bea will reprise their roles as Popoy and Basha, two of the most adored characters ever portrayed in contemporary Philippine cinema. The film is touted as one of the most unforgettable Tagalog romantic movies of all time, for its famous quotes and lines.

One More Chance ends with Popoy and Basha reconciling after their bad breakup.  In A Second Chance, the two have apparently gotten hitched and the film will chronicle their lives as a married couple. Enzo Pineda's Cosmo Bachelor Bash Boo BooThis year’s Cosmo Men centerfold models, headed by Daniel Matsunaga, strut their stuff at the Cosmo Bachelor Bash held at SM MOA Concert Grounds in Pasay City last Saturday. The event, which featured a modern carnival theme, had gorgeous hunks parading on the ramp and doing all sorts of gimmicks to show off their naughty side to the delight of adoring fans.

The role is a departure from his usual romantic male lead portrayals in previous blockbuster hits including One More Chance, The Mistress and the A Very Special Love triology. In The Trial, John Lloyd plays Ronald, an elementary student with intellectual development issues who was accused of raping his teacher played by Jessy Mendiola.
