After a controversial bar incident last year, Kapamilya star Anne Curtis was reportedly caught up in a similar scene which involved her sister Jasmine’s rumored boyfriend Sam Concepcion. According to reports, the Dyesebel star allegedly shouted at and berated Concepcion during Vice Ganda’s birthday party held at the posh 71 Gramercy in Makati City on the early morning of March 31, 2014.
The actress reportedly attended her close friend and It’s Showtime co-host’s birthday bash after hosting the Binibining Pilipinas 2014 coronation night and in a drunken stupor confronted Concepcion. Anne reportedly approached Concepcion in the balcony of the bar and yelled: “Why are you here? Who invited you? You are not classy enough to be here!”
The Dyesebel star reportedly continued to mock Concepcion’s car, saying it is no match to her oldest vehicle and eventually accused the Mirabella actor of fooling her sister. Anne’s harangue was allegedly loud enough to attract the attention of other guests, prompting Sam to leave the scene teary-eyed due to embarrassment.
Reports say that Vice Ganda requested guests who witnessed the incident to just keep it to themselves.
On Tuesday evening, Anne took to Instagram to break her silence about the incident. In a post accompanied by a photo taken during the party, the actress said that she read the reports but denied that she belittled Concepcion.
“Taken at Vice’s birthday. Of course I spoke to Sam that night and as always, I told him to take care of my baby sister. Like any ate would do BUT to clarify I DID NOT say any of those words written in the article. Kahit tanungin nyo pa si Sam. Even he doesn’t know where those words came from. Basta. Ang mahalaga Sam and I are ok. End of story, no issue here.” Anne said on Instagram.
Sam remains mum about the issue.
In November last year, Anne almost lost her career after she got embroiled in a similar incident which involved actor John Lloyd Cruz and other personalities. She took to Twitter to admit her mistakes and apologize to the people involved. Anne and John Lloyd have since buried the hatchet and even worked together in several endorsement projects.
In previous interviews, Anne said that she is thankful that she was able to recover from the incident and was given big projects despite of what happened. She currently stars in the hit fantaserye Dyesebel, portraying the iconic mermaid character.
